Pray Scripture

If you are local to Mt Pleasant you already know this and maybe your community is this way too.  The amount of urgent, life-giving prayer requests are many!! The Lord answers our prayers!!! We won't know until we get to heaven why some are answered in ways that are different than others. (And when we get there it won't matter!) We do know this: to be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord (2 Corinthians 5:8) and I personally cannot wait for the moment I meet Jesus face to face. 

To keep your prayers fresh, choose a few verses to pray each month. It helps in multiple ways:

• we get to learn new verses

• we pray in ways we may not have considered before

• we have the eyes of our heart opened to the Lord

• our prayers do not become boring, routine or forgotten

• our desire to pray increases!

Praise God for all these gifts. May your month of June be filled with new approaches to prayer and a stronger connection with our Lord.
