God is on the Move!

Hi friend, There is so much happening right now and I can tell that God is on the move! Just a month ago, I was wondering how I’d manage it all: writing, real estate, foot surgery recovery, and soaking in every minute with our new granddaughter, all while trying to rebuild the good habits that had quietly slipped away. That’s when I had an amazing conversation with Amy Ramsey, who helped me take an honest look at my life. Nearly everything except my spiritual life felt off track. After a phone consultation, life assessment, and some prayerful reflection, Amy helped me identify the one area that could create the biggest ripple effect of change: my marriage.
There wasn’t anything wrong, but as Amy gently pointed out, Flint and I had become… well, a little lazy and sloppy in our connection. At just the right time, I apologized and he immediately did the same. I suggested that we each start a devotional. These are partner books by the same author. You might remember me sharing mine with you: Wife After God. That was four weeks ago. And can I tell you? That one shift changed everything. The joy and renewed closeness in our marriage gave me the energy to restart a few key habits that had slipped—tracking my nutrition, getting back to workouts, scheduling a weekly date night—and even going on a writing binge where I finished the final TEN chapters of my book. 🙌 I’m still in awe. Isn’t that just like God?
Book Update I’m thrilled to share that I’ve submitted the first full draft of my book! It’s been such a journey of healing, reflection, and faith. The developmental editor and beta readers are giving me their feedback. This weekend I will start making improvements and then send it on to the copy editor after that process is finished. It takes time.
Meanwhile, I had two opportunities in one week offered to me completely unsolicited. I think of them as “God moments”: The great people at Cardinal Preserve offered to host a book launch party and Landon Lane Candle Company offered to host a book signing. What in the world is happening?!
I will keep you posted on those future dates for late winter or early spring depending on the publisher. Thank you for cheering me along in this process. We serve a big God!
I wanted to share this because I know I can’t be the only one—married a long time (38 years!)—who’s let good marriage habits fade a little. But look what happens when we let God breathe fresh life into our relationships. With the right coach, a few supportive systems, and a willingness to let another sister in Christ speak truth, God can use even the smallest adjustments to bring restoration and joy. I can feel His purpose stirring—and I want that for you, too.
Journaling Class For those local to Mt. Pleasant, NC, I will be leading a free journaling class. Sunday, November 16, 2025, from 5-6pm in the Parlor of the Fellowship Hall at Mt. Pleasant Methodist Church. You can bring a journal with you or we will offer a Seeing Jesus Together Journal for $10. Please RSVP so I have the right number of journals on hand for you.
Prayer Guide My prayer life grew out of desire and practice. I went from scribbled notes everywhere (and sometimes I still have that), to composition books, prayer handbooks, loose-leaf sheets of notebook paper, journals, and then a dedicated prayer journal. First a big one and then settling in to a small one. The journey of building your prayerful life doesn't have a written prescription. Just try a method that you have heard about and see if it resonates with you. Connection with God is the main thing. I use the verses on the attached guide to pray during the month in order to:
a) help me to stick with prayer without getting bored b) help me get to know a different attribute of God c) help me learn more scripture

Books I’m Reading 📚 Did you know that reading promotes longevity by keeping your brain active? If we are going to be on the earth, why not be fully activated as long as possible? That's my attitude about it.
1) Wife After God - Jennifer Smith. 30 day marriage devotional for women who desire to fulfill their purpose on earth through their relationship with God and their husband. The partner book by the same author is Husband After God.
2) The Power to Change - Craig Groeschel. The author makes changes feel possible by examining the root causes. It is referred to as a roadmap to getting unstuck.
3) The Christmas Ring - Karen Kingsbury. This was a short easy read in one evening and is also being made into a motion picture debuting on November 7 in our area.
If this story or these resources encourage you, would you forward this email to a friend who might need it too? Let’s keep inspiring one another to rebuild strong, grace-filled foundations, one small shift at a time.

Much Love, Bonnie |
