You might be wondering why I included this picture—well, there’s a story behind it!
As you may know, I’m a real estate agent, and back in December, I was planning for 2025. While working on my goals, I came across The Miracle Morning podcast by Hal Elrod. His ideas really inspire me, so I decided to use them—not just for my job, but for my whole life. Since I’m already a morning person, I figured, why not try his routine?
Now, 36 days later, I can’t believe how much better I feel! I have way less stress (which is perfect since my word for 2025 is SLOW). My office—usually a disaster—is actually clean! (When I worked at my church, my messy desk was kind of a running joke.) And my days? They’ve been amazing!
One of my favorite finds was the book The Miracle Morning for Writers on Audible. It challenges you to write for 30 minutes a day. Since writing was already part of the morning routine, it fit right in. And wow—30 minutes of writing every day adds up fast! Before, I kept putting it off, telling myself I’d get to it later. But let’s be real—procrastination never helps.
Is there something you’ve been putting off? Maybe you’ve been wanting to write your own book or start a gratitude journal. (If so, I saw some great ones at Target!) No matter what it is, we all have something we keep pushing to the side. But let me tell you—getting it done feels amazing!
If prayer is something you’ve wanted to focus on, here’s an idea: print out this month’s prayer guide and make it your own. Add notes in the margins, write names under categories like Family, Friends, the World, and Our Nation, or others and personalize it. My Thursday group was reminded this morning how powerful it is to pray specifically—by name and situation. When we do, we start to see how God is working. Take a few minutes to write down the names and needs on your heart. It really makes a difference!
“So Jesus said to them, ‘Because of your unbelief; for assuredly, I say to you, if you have faith as a mustard seed, you will say to this mountain, ‘Move from here to there,’ and it will move; and nothing will be impossible for you.’”
—Matthew 17:20
